The composite comprised of zinc oxide quantum dots and poly(amic acid) (PAAc) was prepared and studied by X-rays diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, light scattering, UV absorbance and UV fluorescence. The UV absorbance of the ZnO/PAAc composite was found to be much larger than that of its components taken separately. The fluorescence of the ZnO/PAAc composite was found to be shifted to longer wavelengthes in comparison with pure ZnO. The presence of the dopant dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid was found to affect the observed fluorescence. 相似文献

In this paper we consider the online ftp problem. The goal is to service a sequence of file transfer requests given bandwidth constraints of the underlying communication network. The main result of the paper is a technique that leads to algorithms that optimize several natural metrics, such as max-stretch, total flow time, max flow time, and total completion time. In particular, we show how to achieve optimum total flow time and optimum max-stretch if we increase the capacity of the underlying network by a logarithmic factor. We show that the resource augmentation is necessary by proving polynomial lower bounds on the max-stretch and total flow time for the case where online and offline algorithms are using same-capacity edges. Moreover, we also give polylogarithmic lower bounds on the resource augmentation factor necessary in order to keep the total flow time and max-stretch within a constant factor of optimum. 相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of scheduling a number of jobs on a single machine around a large, restrictive common due window. We consider individual earliness and tardiness penalties for the jobs. The objective is to find an optimal schedule which jointly minimizes the sum of the earliness and tardiness penalties. This problem is intractable and hence no efficient procedure for solving large instances is expected to be found. For this reason we first introduced a mapping of the problem which takes advantage of the structural properties inherent to optimal solutions. Secondly we solved the problem under study by using this mapping and applying three meta-heuristics, namely evolutionary strategy, simulated annealing and threshold accepting. To validate the quality of these approaches, altogether 250 benchmark problems with different window sizes and positions of up to 200 jobs are examined. We demonstrated seeded growth of AlN on large-area Al- and N-polar <0 0 0 1>-oriented AlN seeds using the physical vapor transport method (PVT). In both cases, crystals having a diameter of 15 mm were obtained from 5 mm seeds. Based on growth step and terrace width analyses, it was found that the N-polar face was suitable for growth within a large window of growth parameters while the Al-polar seeds yielded high-quality crystals only at low supersaturation. 相似文献

Magnetoresistance (MR) effects have been investigated in perpendicular and parallel magnetic fields at 300, 80 K and liquid He temperatures for undoped InSb thin films 0.1–2.3 μm thick grown on GaAs(1 0 0) substrates by MBE. At high temperatures, the intrinsic carriers show the parabolic negative MR observable only in magnetic fields parallel to the film. The skipping-orbit effect due to surface boundary scattering in the classical orbits in the plane vertical to the film has been argued to be responsible for the negative MR. At low temperatures (T=80 K), the transport is dominated by the two-dimensional (2D) electrons in the accumulation layers at the InSb/GaAs(1 0 0) hetero interface; MR is positive and shows a logarithmic increase with anisotropy between parallel and perpendicular field orientation, arising from the 2D weak anti-localization (WAL) that reflects the interplay between the spin-Zeeman effect and strong spin–orbit interaction caused by the asymmetric potential at the interface (Rashba term). The zero-field spin splitting energy of Δ013 meV, the electron effective mass of m*0.10m0 seven times of the band edge mass in bulk InSb and the effective g-factor of |g*|15 in the accumulation layer have been inferred from fits of MR for the 0.1 μm thick film to the 2D WL theory. 相似文献

We have used two-color time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect spectroscopy to manipulate and detect dynamic processes of spin/magnetic order in a ferromagnetic semiconductor InMnAs. We observed ultrafast photo-induced “softening” (i.e., transient decrease of coercivity) due to spin-polarized transient carriers. This transient softening persists only during the carrier lifetime (2 ps) and returns to its original value as soon as the carriers recombine to disappear. Our data clearly demonstrates that magnetic properties, e.g., coercivity, can be strongly and reversibly modified in an ultrafast manner. We attribute the origin of this unusual phenomenon to carrier-mediated ferromagnetic exchange interactions between Mn ions. We discuss the dependence of data on the pump polarization, pump intensity, and sample temperature. Our observation opens up new possibilities for ultrafast optical manipulation of ferromagnetic order as well as providing a new avenue for studying the dynamics of long-range collective order in strongly correlated many-body systems. 相似文献

In this paper, we suggest and analyze several iterative methods for solving general mixed quasivariational inequalities by using the technique of updating the solution and the auxiliary principle. It is shown that the convergence of these methods requires either the pseudomonotonicity or the partially relaxed strong monotonicity of the operator. Proofs of convergence is very simple. In this paper we consider a single item lot-sizing problem with backlogging on a single machine at a finite production rate. The objective is to minimize the total cost of setup, stockholding and backlogging to satisfy a sequence of discrete demands. Both varying demands over a finite planning horizon and fixed demands at regular intervals over an infinite planning horizon are considered. We have characterized the structure of an optimal production schedule for both cases. As a consequence of this characterization, a dynamic programming algorithm is proposed for the computation of an optimal production schedule for the varying demands case and a simpler one for the fixed demands case. 相似文献
